Parts Counter – Admin Assistant                                             

 

White Spruce Trailer Sales is seeking a talented individual to join our team.  The ideal candidate will begin each workday with a positive attitude and willingness to take on any task.  The position serves as the liaison between the sales, service, and accounting departments.  White Spruce Trailer Sales is a small office environment where all team members fill in for each other as needed.

 General Requirements

  • Three or more years of parts/sales experience in a retail environment. Preferably in one of the following industries: motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment and machinery, small engine and accessories.
  • Mechanical aptitude so that you can answer customer questions on parts and discuss the use and features.
  • Proficient in operating Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be willing to work normal 40 hours per week and some Saturdays as required to meet customer demands. 
  • Must be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in all weather.
  • Must be able to multi-task. 
 

The ideal candidate will have these additional qualifications:

  •  Familiarity trouble shooting electrical issues.
  • Understanding of trailer components to include hubs, axles and running gear.
  • Experience operating tractors and/or forklifts.
  • Familiar with basic accounting principles.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers and help them with their parts needs.  Complete sales transactions.
  • Interact with customers to ensure a positive experience with the service department and the dealership.
  • Ensure customer documentation for trailer sale is accurate, complete, and ready for customer pickup.
  • Check trailers into inventory upon arrival; take photos for website.
  • Continually demonstrate excellent communication skills for answering phone and email inquiries.
  • Excellent computer skills for clerical duties and point-of-sale software.
  • Follows all company and vendor policies and procedures.
  • Adapts to changes in work environment; prioritizes daily/weekly tasks.
  • Complete daily rolling inventory counts.
  • Submit warranty claims with proper documentation and photos to management.
  • Keep office clean and professional.
  • Responsible for cash counting each day to complete daily deposits.
  • Ensure all service work orders are filled out with information provided by technician.
  • Merchandising, cleanliness, and organization of parts bins, stock room and parts counter as assigned by manager

Lot Technician

Salary: $14.00/hour

Description: White Spruce Trailer Sales is ramping up for its busy season and needs to fill a position for a lot technician. As a lot technician, your main role is to be the support to the sales and service departments. The perfect candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where each day brings a different task list. Job Description: Primary responsibility is assembling new trailers as they arrive. After assembly, every trailer on the lot needs to have a full safety inspection before it is ready for sale. The secondary responsibility is to ensure the lot maintains a professional appearance. Basic tools will be provided. This position requires someone who is detail-orientated, works well within a team environment, can multi-task and is willing to help in any aspect of the daily operations. As you will be interacting with customers at times, a clean appearance is required. Compensation: $14.00/hour for first 90 days $17.00/hour after successful completion of 90 day review Work Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:45am – 6:00pm Position will be scheduled for 36-48 hours/week, but overtime is not guaranteed. This is a temporary position from February 19th – September 30th 2018. Requirements: Clean Driving Record Current Driver’s License 18 years or older High School Diploma or GED Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, kneel, bend, squat and stand without discomfort. Service Technician

Salary: DOE

Description: White Spruce Trailer Sales is currently interviewing for a full-time position with benefits. Duties & Responsibilities: The service department for White Spruce Trailers is looking for someone to be the lead service technician in a newly-built shop. This position would work with the service coordinator to use a computer database to keep an accurate snap-shot of the current standing of the service job. In this team environment, all employees help with the unloading of trailers, building of trailers, snow removal, lot maintenance. Who we are looking for: 1. Extensive knowledge of welding steel and aluminum 2. High comfort level in repairing equipment (excluding engines) 3. Background working on brakes and hubs 4. Extensive knowledge of electrical repairs (lights, wiring and trouble shooting) 5. Background completing a truckbed install on pick-up trucks 6. Able to do accurate job estimates 7. Computer skills 8. Self-motivated attitude 9. Reliable transportation and good driving record 10. Able to easily lift 75 lbs. 11. Multi-tasking skills 12. Works well in a team environment 13. Able to kneel, bend, lift, crawl, etc 14. Good references from previous employers Most common jobs performed in shop: 1. Electrical troubleshooting 2. Brake controller installs 3. Hitch installs 4. All around trailer inspection (routine maintenance on axles, bearings and seals) 5. Repair weld cracks 6. Truckbed installs Compensation: DOE. Hourly base + billable hour bi-weekly commission.
