Service Technician

Full time, year round with benefits.  Compensation depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently work on trailers needing repairs for our service department
  • Work with service coordinator and sales staff to align work flow
  • Assemble new trailers for purchase
  • Unload new trailers from trucks with forklift

Looking for someone with the following:

  • Background in mechanical and electrical
  • Background in trouble-shooting electrical issues
  • Proficient welding steel and aluminum
  • Background in estimating job costs
  • Customer service skills helpful
  • Computer skills helpful
  • Able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs
  • Trained in proper use of forklift and tractors

Service shop repairs that you would be expected to complete:

  • Welding repairs
  • Customer fabrication
  • Re-wire trailers
  • Repack bearings
  • Replace axles
  • Install brake controller
  • Install hitches (bumper, 5th wheel, gooseneck)
  • Replace roof bows, replace side panels on enclosed trailers
  • Install truck beds

Lot Technician

Salary: $14.00/hour

Description: White Spruce Trailer Sales is ramping up for its busy season and needs to fill a position for a lot technician. As a lot technician, your main role is to be the support to the sales and service departments. The perfect candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where each day brings a different task list. Job Description: Primary responsibility is assembling new trailers as they arrive. After assembly, every trailer on the lot needs to have a full safety inspection before it is ready for sale. The secondary responsibility is to ensure the lot maintains a professional appearance. Basic tools will be provided. This position requires someone who is detail-orientated, works well within a team environment, can multi-task and is willing to help in any aspect of the daily operations. As you will be interacting with customers at times, a clean appearance is required. Compensation: $14.00/hour for first 90 days $17.00/hour after successful completion of 90 day review Work Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:45am – 6:00pm Position will be scheduled for 36-48 hours/week, but overtime is not guaranteed. This is a temporary position from February 19th – September 30th 2018. Requirements: Clean Driving Record Current Driver’s License 18 years or older High School Diploma or GED Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, kneel, bend, squat and stand without discomfort. Additional skills that would be helpful: Forklift training Experience driving light equipment to include tractor Light electrical knowledge to include trouble-shooting Benefits: As this is a temporary position, no company benefits are offered.
